This short freestyle Escape in Tarifa was very successful with four participants being coached over the weekend. Wind conditions on Saturday were light and permitted the realisation of coaching at Valdevaqueros, but the second day we had to escape the strong levante to great conditions at Palmones, where we enjoyed the spot’s flat water and urban scenery.

Below are some images of the great time and hard work at the Freestyle Clinic with Rita Arnaus, which you can always also see following our Facebook page.

More coaching to come on our future escapes – have a look at upcoming kite camps.

Flights connections

There are several ways of getting to Tarifa, however for most people flying is the easiest option. There are several airports nearby, the closest of which is Gibraltar, 40 minutes away. EasyJet, Monarch and BA fly into Gibraltar from Gatwick, Luton, Liverpool, Heathrow and Manchester. Flights to Malaga tend to be cheaper, more regular and served by most major airports and carriers, however the transfer time is a bit longer from this end (around two hours).

Getting to the windy capital from the airport is fairly straight forward. Buses and taxis are available and reliable.

We definitely recommend renting a car. Car hire is quite affordable here in Spain, and is a great way to get around visiting various spots Tarifa has to offer.
