ACCEPTING RESERVATIONS

What better way to experience the Red Sea kiting playground than on a boat sailing to perfect spots otherwise not accessible. Famous images of the turquoise color of the Red sea are reality on this trip in Egypt. The ultimate holiday experience far away from civilization and other unfortunately usually too crowded coastal spots. While we ride and progress the Bigdayz crew prepares the meals and takes care of our in-water safety.

THE SPOTS

Are secret. Located out in the sea around Hurghada we visit sandbanks and places we can only reach by boat. Conditions created by these sand formations are lonely flat water areas inviting you to hit the playground.

There are 1-2 zodiacs at your disposal at all times so you can be sure that at anytime and anywhere someone is checking on you, helps you in case you need it and makes you feel safer in order to enjoy and push your riding. This not only maximizes your time on the water, but also increases the fun factor quite clearly.

ACCOMODATION

We cross the Red Sea and its islands with a group of 4-25 people on an overnight boat (maximum capacity 25 pax). A perfectly coordinated team will meet all your wishes on board. Club holiday without the typical noise on the beach! Restaurant, bar, chill-out area, all services are oriented to meeting the needs and wishes of the group. Just talk to us

Program
Day 1

Check-In in the evening possibility of kiting before the check-in with the Daily boat (Not included). Dinner on the first day is not inclusive. The marina offers good restaurants.

Day 2

Safari Day 1 – departure between 5:00am and 10:00am.

Day 3 to 7

Safari – Arrival in the marina on the 7th day is between 14:00 and 17:00.

Day 7

If the safari boat needs to be cleaned and have to go out in the sea the next day again, it may be that the last night will be organized in a hotel. The hotel is selected from the safari organization and not by Bigdayz or Kite Escape.

Day 8

Check-out from the safari boat in morning. The 7th kite day is included in the price on the Bigdayz Daily boat.

Conditions

We organize the kite camp together with Bigdayz who take maximum of 25 people on their kite safaris with a minimum of 5 participants that should have confirmed their booking no later than one week before the start date, if not below we offer an alternative. In case of having 8 people applied for the kite camp we intent to organize everything on a private boat.

Tips

It’s common that about 30is paid to the Safari Boat crew as tips. This is the reward that is consider fair and reasonable according to our experience. The amount may be paid individually and is not mandatory.

Alternative

In the unlikely event that there are not enough people applied, we make an attempt to go with a small boat for safari (min. 5 people). If this is cannot be realized, we have our daily boat in combination with a hotel ready. And also in this case we take you kiting to a unique kite spot in the sea.

The price is then adjusted and we will refund the difference.

TRAVEL INFO

Flights connections

Most major airlines in Europe and the Middle East can fly you straight to Hurghada International Airport (HRG) without having to stop in Cairo. Prices depend on the time of the booking and the airline. As you enter the airport building, you will see a big sign saying “Visa 15USD”. You will be ushered towards a stand where you must buy the visa for 25 Euro (over 30USD). You can easily avoid this by going to the ‘National Bank Of Egypt’ stand in the same hall and presenting your passport, along with exactly 15 US dollars, to the attendant. He will give you the visa and you will be done in half the time, for half the price.

If you are in Cairo, you can also fly to Hurghada on Egypt Air Express, a subsidiary of Egypt Air, the national airline of the country, which is now servicing domestic locations in Egypt. Prices vary: 400-900 Egyptian pounds depending on the season and how early you book your tickets.

From Sharm el-Sheikh you can fly with Egypt Air for about 450-550 LE (the trip takes about 1 hour).

Travel documents

The main formality is getting a visa, if you haven’t arranged one in advance. They are sold at a row of bank booths in every arrivals terminal. Pay cash and then present the sticker along with your arrival form and passport at the immigration desks. The procedure is typically speedy, no questions asked, though lines might be long if several flights have arrived at once.

By land or sea, the process is similar.

Passports

Regardless of where you enter, your passport must be valid for at least six months from your date of entry.

Israeli stamps in your passport (and Israeli passports, for that matter) present no problem, unlike in some other Middle Eastern countries.

Visas

Visas required for most foreigners. Available for most nationalities at airport on arrival, though check before departure.

Visa fees: Canada C$25 / Europe €25 / UK UK£15 / USA US$15

When buying visa at airport, payment is accepted in US dollars, UK£ and €.
