We invite you to join us on a coaching or beginner kite camp in Dakhla to live an unforgettable experience. Spend a week surrounded by people who share your passion. In a spot where you have endless space and conditions for any kiting discipline. Immerse in a week of intensive kiting with the support of our experienced coaches, working together with you on your progression. Coaching sessions with regular one-on-one feedback and analysis will take place every day during this kite camp in Dakhla.
It’s kiting paradise, located in the very South of Morocco. And your accommodation is right next to the spot itself. What else!? A huge lagoon set in a lunar landscape with reliable thermal winds blowing across, makes it a stunning playground with plenty of space for everyone. The lagoon offers conditions for every level and every style. Perfectly flat water, waist deep locations and, where we meet the Ocean, great waves.
Depending on your weight, the wind presents itself in 6m to 11m kite size conditions. Due to cold nights and quicker heating of land compared to water during the day, perfect thermal winds are created, building up to 20 knots and more throughout the day.
Average air temperatures are 25°C in the summer and 22°C in winter, however it gets quite chilly in the evenings, so bring something to keep you warm. Water is a bit colder, between 16 and 20°C, therefore go with the water wear of your choice. We, however, feel most comfortable in a long 2/3 or 3/4mm wetsuit.
We choose Dakhla Evasion to be our home during our stay, because of its friendly and relaxed atmosphere. This new camp opened two years ago. The restaurant features a large breakfast room for fifty people, serving Moroccan as well as international cuisine. At their bar with a typical Saharan ambiance you can enjoy different cocktails, soft drinks, as well as local beers and wines.
The sheltered terrace extends the length of the restaurant and bar, and is situated so you are able to enjoy breathtaking views of the lagoon.
Dakhla Evasion is an F-one centre, so in case you need to rent equipment, they will be able to serve you with the latest 2017 range of kites and boards. Also available are individual storage lockers, changing rooms, showers and toilets, and a rinsing tank. The centre takes care of your in-water safety on the lagoon and during downwind trips with their two zodiacs.
Wi-fi access is provided, as well as a large swimming pool. Sheltered from the wind, you will be able to relax and enjoy the pleasant atmosphere of the lagoon.
